At Thai-bookshop.com we think it is important that Thai children are given every chance to learn the Thai language.  It might seem obvious, but children don't have this opportunity.  If parents and teachers are going to help then they need access to quality reading material. 

On our partner site, Thai-uk.org, we have argued for many years that Thai and dual nationality children living abroad need better opportunities to learn Thai.  If you feel strongly about this too, we'd love to hear from you. You can read our views on this here>!

Let's not get too serious about this though. The best reason to have Thai books for children is that kids love to read and these books are really good. Sit down together and look at the pictures in a book like Trees Around Us and you'll see how you start talking to your child about life in Thailand. And that's got to be a good thing.
